Keg Scale

Developed as a result of two friends on different occasions informing me that it would be great to know how much beer was left in their Kegerators.  The resulting build brought about the keg scale pictured.  Two versions were made one for a half keg and one for a quarter keg.

The parts were 3d printed and scale base was cut out on a CNC machine.  Microcontroller with customized code was used to control the action displayed on the OLED screen.  Upon setup one is prompted  to enter which type of keg is desired (4 are listed) then further into the setup the keg is weighted.  The display will read 100% and the screen will turn off.  A button on the controller or drawing a beer will turn on the screen and inform the user to the amount of beer remaining in the keg.  Percentage of beer can be seen in real time lowering as a beer is drawn.
