Volcano Prop

Every luau party of course needs its own working volcano.  This build was designed and fabricated for that exact purpose. The exterior was constructed out of cardboard, spray foam and Styrofoam and then painted appropriately.

The action was powered by a micro-controller, mp3 sound module and some other supporting electronics, fans and led's and of course custom written computer code, it turned out to be a fiery success.

On a timer, the volcano would spew smoke and light up every half hour and then would have a full blown eruption every hour.  Of course a pushbutton was installed for on demand eruptions!

Alligator Raccoon Control

This build occurred as a result of a rascally raccoon thinking it could have it's run of the place.

Apparently there are no good ways to stop raccoons from passing through the property.  Well, we had other ideas.

Customized from an existing fiberglass alligator, the upper head was cut away and fitted with a hinge and actuation servo from the mouth.  Motion detector sets off the action which was controlled by a microcontroller, custom program, MP3 player module and amplifier.

Turns out it was good at scaring people too!
